Former banker and lead agent Jason Roach heads up The Agency Upper North Shore

Jason Roach is in a league of his own, with 20 years of banking experience, including senior roles at Macquarie Bank and as National Head of Real Estate Services with the Westpac Banking Corporation, he brings a unique perspective to real estate. While managing real estate services at Westpac, Jason Roach worked with The Agency’s CEO Matt Lahood in a financial capacity, and today, Jason Roach is joining The Agency spearheading the brand’s presence on the Upper North Shore of Sydney.

I've known Matt Lahood for more than 15 years and the team he has assembled was very appealing to be a part of,” Jason Roach says. “I was seeking a premium, energetic brand that projects prosperity and success, and the high calibre of agents on board was a real drawcard.

The Agency’s unique model offers operational and network opportunities that are unhindered by the traditional franchise model. Both my banking and real estate backgrounds helped me identify this model was the way forward.”

The Agency’s expansion to the Upper North Shore of Sydney is extremely important for the network, as it will further expand the brand’s extensive referral system across its existing metro-based agents. Another important aspect of The Agency’s operation is its connection to the regional hubs of the Southern Highlands, Hunter Valley, Newcastle and north and south coasts.

The current migration to these regional areas from Sydney and other states has been unprecedented during Covid-19. The Agency’s shared database, and open referral system between agents, has played a key role in connecting vendors and buyers across these markets.

The Agency has vast experience in assisting agents with their business growth and also their market share, and growing market share is the priority for my business,” Jason Roach says.

Jason Roach has built an extremely successful real estate business over the last six years. In the first three years of his operation he was placed in the top two per cent of his former brand’s global network of more than 100,000 agents. And in the last three years, he was placed in the top one per cent globally and awarded both Centurion and Double Centurion status with Century 21.

I have known Jason Roach for many years, both as a banking professional and a real estate professional, he is an outstanding business person and agent, and operates to the highest standards. I am honoured Jason will be representing and spearheading our operation on the Upper North Shore of Sydney,” Matt Lahood, The Agency’s CEO says. “For me, the fact Jason Roach chose The Agency for the next phase of his business expansion, is a testament to what we have built and a vote of confidence in our non-franchise real estate model.

Jason Roach’s focus is on the premium end of the Upper North Shore market, and so connecting with The Agency’s existing premium agents located in the Eastern Suburbs, Inner West and Lower North Shore of Sydney is a key strategic move for his operation.

With 20 years of banking experience, I'm well placed to have high-quality conversations with my clients and develop detailed plans and strategies to assist with their sale goals,” Jason Roach explains. “Further to this, my domestic and international working experience provides additional knowledge around different selling climates and means I am equipped to ensure a swift and successful outcome is reached.”

With spring upon us, The Agency has been achieving record sales across Sydney and in the NSW regional markets, particularly at the premium end of the market. But there is much debate as to what will lie ahead for real estate in 2021.

Spring/Summer 2020 is a critical period for the property market in this Covid-19 selling environment,” Jason Roach says. “There is much discussion that 2021 may be a challenging one for the Australian economy, but people will still need to trade property, so my focus remains on helping my clients make great decisions based on their unique circumstances.
