The Agency is excited to announce it is expanding its product offering with the launch of a new national commercial division. Former CEO of Ray White Commercial, Mark Williams, will join the leadership team to grow the commercial business.
The Agency Commercial arm will enable the company to capture the remaining 20 per cent of the addressable real estate market across non-residential sales and management. The division will focus on delivering a full-service offering across the commercial office, retail and industrial sector, and comes off the back of consistent growth within the residential sales, property management and project development divisions nationally.
“I have always been passionate about commercial real estate, but it is an extremely specialised service, and while we currently offer some commercial services within Sydney, the demand to provide a far-reaching national service has been significant,” The Agency’s Real Estate CEO Matt Lahood says.
“This enables us to broaden our reach into the untapped multi-billion-dollar, non-residential markets. We needed to find the right commercial leadership team and I am thrilled Mark Williams, the former CEO of Ray White Commercial and Director of Greater China and Asia for Ray White has joined the team. Mark will be turbocharging our national commercial division as we accelerate to become one of Australia’s largest integrated and premium full-service real estate companies.”
Mark Williams brings more than 30 years of real estate experience to his commercial role with The Agency. As the CEO and founder of Ray White’s commercial division, he built a network of over 50 commercial businesses across Australia, Asia and New Zealand. Further to these achievements, he headed up the Ray White Group’s Asia operations as Director of Greater China and Asia.
“Given my commercial background I could see how The Agency business model would work in a commercial real estate context. The potential to take The Agency approach to the commercial space is very exciting.”
The Agency’s Executive Chairman and COO, Andrew Jensen, worked alongside Mark Williams for a number of years when employed as CFO for the Ray White Group.
“I saw what Mark Williams achieved during my time at Ray White, and now to get someone of Mark’s calibre and experience to help drive our expansion, it demonstrates The Agency holds a huge opportunity in the commercial space,” Andrew Jensen says. “Our model is a unique fit for commercial and industrial real estate and I believe the overall sector does not get enough attention – we want to change that.”
The Agency’s expansion into the commercial real estate vertical triggers another milestone within the company’s national expansion strategy. This comes on the back of the company’s recent appointment of David Price as The Agency’s Queensland General Manager. David Price is heading up The Agency’s operation throughout the Queensland property market.
