First-time renovators Hannah and Clint have taken on the biggest The Block series to date. An entire, 100-hundred-year-old house renovated from the ground up. An extraordinary renovation challenge, this young mum-and-dad team say it is the best thing they have ever done. And look out – there are big things to come from this tenacious duo and Peter Kakos will be by their side!
“There have been moments when we thought what have we done!” laughs Hannah. “Night one, during the 48-hour challenge, sleeping on the floor in sleeping bags in below six degree temperatures with no windows or roof. It was tough.”
But Hannah and Clint are made of tough ‘lovable’ stuff, not only winning over viewers but the other contestants as well.
“This is hands down the best thing we have ever done,” shares Clint. “It has been incredible and we’ve made great friends on the show, I talk to Wombat each week and we were at Josh and Elyse’s just on the weekend.”
Hannah and Clint had previously applied for The Block and missed out, it turns out 2017 is their year. Originally from Townsville, they have moved to Melbourne with their two young children Poppy and Finn. Early morning starts are not a problem for these two, Hannah is part of the Qantas ground grew regularly rising at 3am and Clint, a former professional Rugby player, is as ‘strong as an ox’ according to Hannah.
Being first-time renovators Hannah and Clint have faced a couple of road blocks, like needing to re-do their bathroom, from scratch, week one! But despite this setback the final product is absolutely stunning as you can see above. And the next week they backed this up with an incredible guest room – the striking bedhead had everyone abuzz.
