The Agency recruits market leaders in Melbourne’s Williamstown

Media Release | 2 February 2024

Highly regarded real estate professional Leigh Melbourne and his team have joined The Agency Victoria with a focus on Williamstown and the surrounding inner-west market.

The Agency General Manager of Sales – Victoria, Sally O’Connell said Leigh Melbourne, Mark de Brabander and Noah Lautman-Wurt are a great addition to The Agency due to their unparalleled market knowledge.

“The Agency Williamstown will be led by property partners who have been recognised as the top performers in their area. They have an incredible understanding of the communities they service and their professionalism coupled with an approachable style make them standout in the market place.

“We look forward to supporting them in the next chapter of their careers and see continued success for them and their clients under The Agency brand.”

Property Partner Leigh Melbourne said he enjoyed all aspects of the property journey and in particular helping people secure their property dreams.

“I love auctioneering and supporting first home buyers, upsizers and downsizers achieve their property goals.

“Joining me at The Agency are Noah Lautman-Wurt and Mark de Brabander. Noah is an impressive young property partner who has been at my side for the last two years and has excellent client feedback, while Mark is a very well respected and established real estate professional in the Williamstown and Newport markets. I have worked with Mark for the last 10 years and he has a solid client base and is referral driven.

“We all have strong ties with the community in which we work and live and look forward to attracting more like minded property partners to The Agency and thriving Williamstown market.”

Mr Melbourne added he and his colleagues were attracted to The Agency because of its national presence and support network.

“The Agency is a team orientated brand where everyone is working together to achieve the best possible outcomes for vendors as well buyers. In the ever-evolving real estate market they are moving with the times and offer an environment with exceptional training that promotes growth.”

Mr Melbourne said he expected increased supply levels in 2024 across Williamstown and Melbourne’s Inner West, including, Newport, Seaholme, Altona, South Kingsville and Yarraville among others.

“Over the last couple of years the number of homes for sale in the area have been very low and with interest rates largely on hold we expect to see a bounce back of the number of properties coming to market.”

The Agency CEO and Managing Director Geoff Lucas said Leigh Melbourne and his colleagues were a great example of the brand’s growth strategy.

“What we look to do is partner with leading agents in their respective markets and provide them with the centralised support they need so that they can focus on what they do best - selling real estate.

“Melbourne in particular under the leadership of Sally O’Connell offers great opportunity for those looking to join our national brand of market leaders.”
