The Agency has named Jason Crerar its newest state manager for Tasmania, in a move that will add momentum behind the network’s growth across the Tasmanian market.
The Agency first launched operations into Tasmania in July 2022, when the group acquired the century-old Launceston real estate agency Bushby Property Group.
According to Mr Crerar, The Agency’s growth outlook was one of the drawcards behind his decision to join the brand in his new management role.
“Having entered the Tasmanian market 18 months ago with the acquisition of Bushby Real Estate, The Agency brand is gaining traction with property professionals across the Tasmanian market for its premium marketing and cutting-edge approach to real estate,” said Mr Crerar.
“My strong understanding of the local area signals an exciting new growth chapter for the business and also for my real estate career,” he added.
Prior to taking on his new position at The Agency, Mr Crerar spent the past 12 years at realestate.com.au. This experience has given Mr Crerar “unrivalled expertise and understanding of the Tasmanian real estate industry”, according to Sally O’Connell, The Agency General Manager of Sales for Victoria and Tasmania.
“He has been working alongside some of the best agents, property managers, business owners, trainers and business coaches, and other professionals in Launceston and across the state,” said Ms O’Connell.
Matt Lahood, The Agency CEO of real estate, shared his belief that Mr Crerar’s appointment would spearhead strategic growth into new markets across the Apple Isle.
The CEO added that Mr Crerar “will also focus on growth and team development as well as community engagement”.
“His appointment, working closely with The Agency General Manager of Sales – Victoria and Tasmania, positions The Agency for sustained success in Tasmania.”
Since launching into Tasmania 18 months ago, The Agency has doubled its presence in the island state by expanding its property management and sales portfolios in Launceston, and expanding to Hobart and Devonport.
At the time of the Tasmanian launch, Mr Lahood described the expansion as a “strategic move to establish a presence in the flourishing market”.
