Herald Sun's round up of notable auctions across Melbourne featured 2/176 Woods St, Newport, which sold under the hammer for $902,000.
Listed and auctioned by The Agency's Leigh Melbourne and Noah Lautman-Wurt, five bidders competed for the property driving up the bidding to $107,000 above its $795,000 reserve, with a family ultimately taking home the keys.
"Investors are not really in the market at the moment, I think first-home buyers and young families realise they have a chance to get in," Mr Lautman-Wurt said.
