One-bed unit, no car park – the price? Almost $1m: The AFR

Featured in The AFR's How It Sold column detailing the week's most intriguing property sale, a one-bedroom apartment with no car park at 29 Lander Street, Darlington, NSW. Sold for $995,000 after passing in at auction. The Agency's Brad Gillespie managed the sale and said there were limited inquiries given the price guide of nearly $1 million with no car park. 

Mr Gillespie called the sales campaign "a little underwhelming," saying a car space can be worth between $100,000 to $150,000.

"I do see people who look at properties without parking. Many are thinking they’re selling in two to four, maybe five, years," he said. 

"Even first-home buyers have the foresight to think about the resale value down the track. Selling a property with a car park can be advantageous."
