This timber-clad Huon Valley home is an 'ode to Scandinavian design': Domain

106 Winns Road, Cygnet in Tasmania is a luxury pavillion-style residence blending Scandinavian and Mid-Century design, incorporating natural materials reminiscent of traditional Japanese homes, taking in elevated views across rolling hills towards Port Cygnet.

Featured in Domain's Prestige Magazine, the home's vendor Jane Smith was intimately involved in the design of the home. 

“I wanted something very contemporary, but with a mid-century Scandi vibe,” she said. Working together with designer Nathan Crump, he created three separate pavilions that were connected by walkways and covered courtyards.

Georgie Rayner, from The Agency Hobart, believes the house – only 45 minutes from the capital – suits downsizers and families with older children as a home or weekender, either based locally or from the mainland. The home has a circa $3 million plus price guide.
