Newtown locals Sara Palmieri and Darryl Hughes have listed their Newtown home at 105 Alice Street which features an eye-catching mural on the street side by street artist Krispe.
Over 170 murals decorate the streets and laneways around the Inner West, thanks to the local council's unique street art program which facilitates local artists creating artwork on walls that are publicly viewable through its Perfect Match Street Art program.
Decorated with his signature monster cartoons, the Krispe characters on wall of the Alice Street home are recognisable to many Sydney-siders.
The Agency Property Partner David Barndon, who has the listing with Brad Gillespie, says street art is a big part of the Inner West culture.
“It really highlights the artistic side of Newtown and the Inner West,” he told The Daily Telegraph.
The home at 105 Alice St Newtown has a price guide of $1.6m heading to auction 28 September 2024.
