Vibrant and modern, North Sydney offers a high energy lifestyle for busy young professionals who love to work and play hard. Sydney’s second largest CBD offers great employment opportunities and a range of apartments from budget studios to luxury penthouses, with new developments going up all the time. This suburb has everything you need in walking distance from trendy bars and cafes to great shopping at Greenwood Plaza and fabulous harbourside parks.

Restaurants and cafes

The vibe is lively at the Greenwood Hotel and Rag and Famish as young IT and marketing professionals wind down from a long day. Be aware though that North Sydney shuts down on a weekend. Fortunately the groovy cafes and restaurants of McMahons Point and Kirribilli are only a stroll away.

Transport

You will not be needing a car in North Sydney. A fifth of North Sydney workers just walk to the office. The CBD is only two stops away from North Sydney train station, or one bus stop from Blue Street. The city is 18 minutes by bike, and if the weather is nice, why not just walk across the Harbour Bridge?

Schools

North Sydney is home to Marist Brothers College, Monte Sant' Angelo, Wenona and Shore School.

Parks & recreation

Wander down to Luna Park and the North Sydney Olympic Swimming Pool. There are excellent picnic spots and foreshore walks down by the harbour. St Leonards Park is popular with joggers and dog walkers, and home to cricket in the summer, and rugby union and league in the winter. The Moonlight Cinema at North Sydney Oval makes for a perfect summer night outing.
