Steven Devine

Steven Devine was born to be in real estate! Following in the footsteps of his late father George Devine, Steven started in the family business Devine Real Estate in 1985 after completing school at St Patrick's College, Strathfield.

Over the years he moved through all facets of the business culminating with his purchase of the business in 1999. The Devine brand has been recognised in Sydney’s Inner West as arguably the area’s most prominent and successful real estate brand. Steven has received widespread industry recognition including the prestigious Excellence in Auction Marketing Award presented by the Real Estate Institution of NSW and The Philip Webb Shield, presented by Best Practice, which recognises a focus on teamwork, integrity, and exceeding clients’ expectations. He is also regularly asked to speak at real estate training events and seminars throughout Australia and overseas and has sat on the Industry Advisor Board of Domain.com.au.

In 2023, Steven Devine and his long-standing business joined The Agency, with all four offices in Strathfield, Drummoyne, Concord and Marrickville/Dulwich Hill rebranding. “We have come a long way from a single office in Strathfield in 1965 to a team of over 60 real estate professionals across four hubs in 2023. While our local offices will continue to be run by the same property experts we have today, we will now have the backing and added strength of a nationally recognised company,” Steven said. “The Agency’s ambition to grow across the nation, its strong cultural alignment and clear direction was key in making this decision and we embrace the opportunity to rebrand as The Agency as the logical next step for our business.”

Steve, together with his wife Tanya, are proud of their four children who have also grown up as part of the Inner West Community.   St. Patricks Rugby Club bestowed Life Membership on Steve for his many years as a 1st grade representative Rugby player, committee member and sponsor, where even today you’ll probably catch him on the side lines supporting the team.
