Australia’s premier real estate services provider, The Agency Group is exceptionally pleased to congratulate marketing coordinator Jack McLeay on qualifying for the 2023 World Triathlon Multisport Championships in Ibiza, Spain.
The Agency Group will be sponsoring Jack throughout international series which will run across April/May 2023, and will see Jack compete in green and gold kit emblazoned with The Agency logo.
Jack will be vying for gold in the men’s 25-29 age group category in two events: the sprint distance duathlon which features a 5km run, a 20km bike leg and another 2.5km run, as well as the aquathon which consists of a 1km swim followed by a 5km run.
Highlighting just how impressive the selection is, Jack is one of only three West Australians selected to compete in these events and each event will consist of a field of 400 of the world’s best athletes.
Just prior to departing for Spain, Jack said:
“This is my first ever international event and represents the culmination of three years of training – I am so excited.
“I am very thankful for the support received from my colleagues at The Agency, who have given me the flexibility to train at a high level while also contributing to the marketing team within Western Australia’s largest real estate office.
“Being able to balance work and exercise is so incredibly important. A few years ago, I was faced with some quite serious personal adversity and it was during this period I stumbled into the world of triathlons. The rigorous training, goal-setting and supportive community were hugely beneficial and has played a massive part in who I am today.
“Since then, I have been training hard and this has been totally supported. Along with generous words of encouragement, the team have been gracious enough to allow me to fit in afternoon trainings and also participate in races, including the triathlon state championships – where I took out the title for the sprint distance triathlon in my age group.
“It’s been a real journey to reach the World Championships and I’m going to give it my best shot.”
