Couple splashes $5.5 on unrenovated unit | July 29, 2024
Featured in both the The Sydney Morning Herald, The Daily Telegraph and online at Realestate.com.au, the auction of a 55 year-old Manly apartment in “near-original condition” attracted attention after selling for $5.5m, $500k above its reserve.
Listed with The Agency's Nathan Tse and Jake Rowe, the three-bedroom, sixth-floor apartment at 12/104 Darley Road was sold as part of a deceased estate and had been owned by the same family since the 1960s.
Mr Rowe estimated a renovation would cost half a million dollars.
“They are very large apartments, almost 200 square metres internally, only two per floor,” he told The SMH.
It was bought by a couple downsizing from Clontarf.
