The simple life, by design: The Australian

Award-winning Byron Bay home set for auction | By Emily Pettafor | September 28, 2024

Hair stylist Kevin Murphy is selling his home 'Gull House' with The Agency's Terase Davidson, who will take the property to auction on October 18 with price expectations between $4.5 and $4.6 million.

The home at 38 Paterson Lane is positioned in Byron Bay's prized Golden Grid area, a short stroll to the Clarkes Beach. Designed by architect Harley Graham, the property was initially designed to imitate a seagull floating above a timber platform, and won the Australian Institute of Architects award in 2016.

Offering an abundance of natural light and tranquility, the four-bedroom home features a heated pool, Spotted Tasmanian Gum decks and living spaces spread over three levels, taking in views of the Border Ranges and Arakwal National Park.
